It is important to understand the role your thoughts play in creating, manifesting and experiencing the life you desire. Your thoughts indicate how you feel about what you are creating either by default or deliberately. As such if you change your thoughts you can effect how you feel and if you change how you feel, your thoughts now reflect that and you begin to create and manifest based on your desires rather than contrast. Contrast is any experience you have that is not a reflection of what you desire. Contrast tell you what you are experiencing is not a reflection of a desire so it can be said that contrast is a desire indicator. It can also serve to strengthen a desire or redefine a desire.
Here is a short exercise you can do to help you define your contrast and desire.
1. Write down a situation where you are experiencing something you do not want or desire.
2. What thoughts do you have in regards to this experience.
3. What feelings do you have in regards to this experience.
4. Write down what your desire is based on what you answered to question 1.
5. Do your current thoughts and feeling reflect that desire?
6. What thoughts or feelings can you have that would reflect your desire?
7. Do those new thoughts make you feel better? If not try to find a new thought that does.
You can use this process anytime you find your self in contrast.
